The wellbeing of Assist Trust members is fundamental to the overall service we provide. This is achieved through supporting members to engage socially with each othe; offering groups (and/or work placements) that provide mental stimulation, as well as providing opportunities to be physically active within group sessions.

All of the groups that we run at Assist Trust support people to improve their wellbeing in some capacity. The following are just some of those group activities that have been running over the past 12 months, which support members in this area:

Inclusive sports Art & Craft Animal Care Inclusive Drama FakeAway
Gardening Gardens Project Meditation/Relaxation Healthy Eating Ladie’s self Image
Mousehold/Conservation Nature Groups Swimming Table Top Cricket Qi gong/Tai Chi
Walking Groups Yoga Dancersise Football Men’s self Image

Due to COVID-19 we have decided to put groups that access the community on hold for the time being (with the exception of going to Mousehold Heath and on local walks). We are also currently not offering cooking based groups as a precaution to minimise the risk of COVID 19. Once we feel it is safe to do so we will restart cooking and community based groups, working within the relevant COVID 19 guidelines.
