All members attending Assist Trust are given the chance to try out different work skills.

For those just starting out, this is often in the form of an internal job – such as sorting out the bins, sorting out the dishwasher or the courier job – so that people have a chance at trying things out in a manageable way.

For those who are able to travel train and cope with the responsibilities of an external placement, the employment team provide support in a very gradual and consistent way, helping to find suitable work experience and paid opportunities in the local community working with local and national employers such as:

  • Norwich Airport Naked Wines OXFAM
British Heart Foundation Edwards & Blake catering CO-OP
St Francis Church St John the Baptist SENSE
    Epic Studios Brickmakers Pub Doughtys
Norse Care Village Cafe Tots Phoenix Centre
    Adnams UEA The Forum
    Shelter Dawns New Horizons Quakers
Opening Doors Big C Sue Ryder
NHS Community Hospital In n Out Autocentres Revelation Cafe

We would like to say a massive thank you to all of the employers we work with for their fantastic and continued support.

Due to COVID-19 we have decided to put our internal and external work placements on hold for the time being. Once we feel it is safe to do so we will restart our placements working within the relevant COVID 19 guidelines. Please contact if you have any questions regarding this or anything employment related.
