Employment
For some members at Assist, the journey towards feeling more confident and gaining greater independence can lead to opportunities for paid work.
This might be for only a few hours a week to begin with, but more and more individuals attending Assist services are showing that they can do more for themselves than was previously expected.
In recent years, Assist has been working with Norfolk County Council and with many local employers, to help provide and support suitable paid jobs in the local community. This can often be a gradual and carefully supported journey and the Assist Employment and Travel Training team will always make sure that proposed steps are carefully assessed and communicated to all relevant parties.
