Assist Trust
Based in Norwich, Norfolk, the Assist Trust helps over100 people with learning difficulties to gain confidence and work towards greater independence. It supports people who want to explore the job market as well as providing assistance in all aspects of independent living. Assist Trust members are involved in decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
ACTIVITIES
Assist members can choose from over 30 different
activities - some based at Assist, some out in the community - all designed to build confidence and to provide useful life skills.
EMPLOYMENT
Assist Trust staff help individuals find suitable opportunities in the job market. By offering appropriate and consistent support, many members have already found paid employment in this way.
INDEPENDENCE
As people gain confidence, they begin to take steps towards independence. At Assist, we can help with things like budgetting, getting into the community and moving into more independent accomodation.
