City Centre Offices

The Assist Trust now uses 6 Upper Goat Lane (located in the centre of Norwich) as Work and Independence Offices.

Support, guidance and ongoing assessment continues in exactly the same way as it does in other Assist Trust services (with keyworkers acting as a point of contact for the individual and all others concerned) with members being encouraged to choose for themselves which activities they would like to engage in, instead of conforming to a fixed timetable. While a certain amount of flexibility exists around these arrangments, individuals are always encouraged to view any employment responsibilities they have as an absolute priority.

Qualified and experienced staff (including specialists in housing and employment) are always on hand at Upper Goat Lane to encourage, prompt, guide, enthuse, advise and support individuals in a number of areas, including:

- Getting on with others
- Coping with changes
- Money skills / budgetting / saving
- Bus travel and training
- Managing risk
- Phone skills (mobile and landline)
- Housing opportunities
- Healthy eating
- Job coaching
- Benefits and Entitlements
- Managing free time
- Socialising
- Joining groups in the community
- Planning and going on holiday, etc. etc....
